Administrative Support Assistant

This position is the Administrative Support Assistant for the Division of Operations for the Medford District Office and Northwest Oregon District Office. This position serves as a principle point of contact on specific administrative operations. The primary duties for this position include processing correspondence, maintaining specific records, documentation, databases and entering data for budget, travel and procurement, purchasing, office supplies and property. The incumbent serves as a travel, vehicle, time and attendance and property point of contact and assists area staff with related tasks and works with HR liaison submitting personnel actions to the state office. Physical Demands:
The work is typically sedentary. some work may require periods of walking, standing, bending, or driving a motor vehicle. The incumbent may frequently life relatively light boxes, materials, and supplies and /or carry file folder's copied materials, books, and other similar materials.Work Environment:
Work is typically located in an adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated office environment. the work environment may involve everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, mail distribution centers, meeting and training rooms, libraries, or motor vehicles. Specialized Experience Requirements:
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - please be sure to include this information in your resume. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade (GS-6 level) of the position to be filled. Examples may include:
Experience organizing functions of an office; making travel arrangements and preparing travel vouchers; preparing and reviewing correspondence; processing time and attendance records; providing administrative support services; and utilizing computer skills to navigate through computer software and experience processing budget documents, recording expenditure transfers and assist with reconciling a budget. Education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
