Work Hours: M-F 8am - 5pm

Our repair shop is looking for quality candidates to expand our service department. Our repair shop is run and staffed by professionals who enjoy what they do. Our automotive techs keep busy during the day. They diagnose customer vehicle problems, accurately prescribe the correct repairs needed, and then go about making those repairs. Automotive Technician
Automotive Technicians are a part of one of the most important teams in the shop - The service department! As an Automotive Technician (Automotive Mechanic) you will quickly and efficiently perform routine maintenance and identify the cause of breakdowns and repair them using the most optimal solutions. Automotive Technicians in our service department can expect a clean, safe and state-of-the-art environment to work in. The jobs are challenging and extensive training is available to those who are career focused!
Your Contribution to the Shop
o Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
o Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or our standards.
o Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, alignments, braking, air conditioning, tires, exhaust, timing belts, flushes, etc. to specification.
o Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
o Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
o Computer Diagnostics/Reflash
o Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
o Attendance is an Essential Function of this position.
Requirements
o Experience needed in all facets of repairs on domestic/foregin models
o Skilled/Certified in two or more automotive specialties
o 10
years of repair experience as mechanic at dealership or service station
o A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
o Must be comfortable with diagnostic and customer relations
o Computer Literate
o High School/Tech School Diploma or GED
o Team Player
o Must successfully pass pre-employment Drug & Background Check
Preferences
o Advanced education
o ASE Certified

Physical Requirements
Physical requirements include standing and walking; frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 60 pounds; frequent balancing, kneeling, bending, reaching, handling, feeling, smelling, and twisting; occasional crawling, and climbing; and vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform essential tasks.
Working Environment
Working environment is primarily indoors and occasionally outdoors, and in inclement weather. May be exposed to the following: hazardous materials, flammable liquids, traffic, cramped work areas, excessive dust, weather/temperature extremes, cutting/chipping/grinding, damp/wet surfaces, snow/ice covered surfaces, toxic fumes/vapors/odors, compressed gases, high noise areas, extreme heights.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
