Summary: Technicians will be expected to perform Preventative Maintenance, correct defects, prepare buses for DOT inspections and make possible road calls.
Job Title: School Bus Technician Level II
Qualifications:
? Must adhere to FirstGroup America Minimum Hiring Standards
? Must complete Background Check, Drug Screen, Motor Vehicle Records Check and Prior Employment History Check
? 3
years hands-on diesel maintenance and repair experience
? Bus or Medium-Heavy truck experience preferred
? Diesel electronic engine diagnostic and repair experience
? Knowledge of A/C system, electrical system and preventative maintenance
? Ability to work with little to no supervision; self-motivating
? CDL License preferred; must be willing/able to obtain; will assist (Required by some locations)
? ASE Certifications HIGHLY preferred; must be willing/able to obtain
? Must own basic mechanic's tool set
? Must possess valid driver's license

Work Environment:
? Maintenance Shop
? Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
? Must be able to work in a crouched position or on back lying on mechanic's dolly beneath motor vehicle equipment; subjected to dust, dirt, and grease conditions.
