Job Details:
The Dental Hygienist assists the dentist in providing oral health care to patients of the Children''s Dental Clinic of Jackson County by providing cleaning, scaling, polishing teeth, and taking and processing x-rays.Records evaluations of mouth condition and extent of prophylaxis on dental chart to provide dentist with information for more complete diagnosis and subsequent treatment as needed.Advises and instructs patients on proper dental care.
This Position Requires:
One year experience as a Dental Hygienist.
Registered Dental Hygienist by the Oregon Board of Dentistry.
Ability to communicate with and motivate adults and children.
Organizational and muli-tasking skills.
Ability to self-motivate and manage tasks in a timely fashion to stay on schedule.
Knowledge of Dental Terminology.
Ability to operate patient and operator chairs, dental handpiece, air/water syringe and suction, ultrasonic scaler, curing light, x-ray processor and digital radiography equipment.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Two or more years of experience as a Dental Hygienist.
