Continuation beyond that date is subject to available funding.

Benefits to you We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees, including mental health coverage.

Position Highlights The Jackson County Circuit Court in Medford, Oregon, is hiring a Pretrial Services Clerk (Court Operations Associate).
In this role, you will assist Release Assistance Officers (RAOs) and the Pretrial Services Supervisor, as well as support the needs of the Pretrial Services Division.
You will provide customer service over the phone, through writing, and in person at the service counter by answering general questions from court staff, attorneys, agencies, and the public.
You will also schedule and facilitate in-person check ins with clients as needed.
In helping the RAOs, you will verify the employment and residency of defendants who are currently lodged and scheduled for a release hearing, and you will prepare security release agreements for the jail.
Additionally, you will perform a high volume of data entry, prepare new files, review court orders, maintain ongoing reports, update case statuses and client information, schedule pretrial appearances for monitored defendants, process petitions to terminate or modify No Contact Orders, and process travel requests for pretrial defendants.
Part of your time will be spent running criminal history checks in the Law Enforcement Data System and entering the results into the database.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required.

Daily contact with the public regarding court processes, including working with parties involved in criminal court cases and victims of crimes that include domestic abuse.

Regular use of the following equipment:
telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.
The qualified candidate must start the process of CJIS clearance within the first week of hire.
