As a Case Aide, you will:
Play a critical role in assisting Caseworkers in achieving positive outcomes for children and their families.
Support Caseworkers by completing paperwork, completing referrals, transporting children, and completing administrative tasks.
Work with families and children in the community.
Community work will consist of transporting children and taking case notes.

As a Family Time Coordinator, you will:
Gather and document information from the caseworker, children, parents, relatives, case providers, schools and other resources to plan family time visits.
Meet with clients, family members and caregivers to review family time agreements and guidelines.
Supervise family time visits between children, parents and family members in an office setting or in a community setting.
You will observe family time and take case notes.
Based on the case notes, you will prepare written reports describing information gathered and observations.
Transport children to visits, medical appointments, social services or other agency related appointments as required.
Collaborate with Caseworkers to assess level and location of family time supervision on an on-going basis.
What you need to qualify One year of experience assisting professionals in one or more specialized social programs such as family services, children services, senior services, mental or developmental disability services, substance abuse programs, juvenile corrections programs or occupational skills programs, or; Possession of a current certification in child development, early childhood education, addiction counseling preparation or juvenile corrections, or; 45 quarter hours, or 30 semester hours of college course work in sociology, psychology, early childhood education, criminal justice, human services, juvenile corrections, or occupational skills training, or; An associate degree in a field not closely related to social work/human services and six months of human services-related experience (e.
g.
, work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, mental or physical disabilities, juvenile prevention, health, cultural competencies, and/or inadequate housing).
Essential attributes We are looking for candidates with:
Ability to engage children and families under time-sensitive and difficult circumstances, to gather information and make informed decisions using informed practices that are inclusive of the child and family's language, race, and culture.
Ability to communicate with cultural humility (in-person and over the phone) to the public, service providers, and families.
Experience being flexible and adapting to the needs of the team.
Experience conducting work that requires attention to detail.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity and recognizing intersectionality and the roots of systemic oppression that impacts all protected classes.
Experience using prioritization and organization to manage workload and meet deadlines.

Working conditions Your work will be conducted in the office and in the community.
Travel with the purpose of transporting children is required.
Some travel may be hours away.
You will work a professional work week where the hours of work may fluctuate to meet service needs.
Occasional compensated overtime may be required, including evening and weekend work.
You may interact with a wide range of people including some who have experienced trauma, exhibit challenges in controlling their emotions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
