Asante is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our cardiothoracic surgical team in Medford, Oregon.
The NP/PA will be working with a team of 3 cardiothoracic surgeons and 8 NPs/PAs, Practice Manager, care transformation nurse, MA's and support staff.
The NP/PA will have primary responsibilities of assisting with surgeries with the surgeons, inpatient rounding, inpatient medical management, and discharge planning coordination for all postoperative cardiothoracic surgery patients.

EducationGraduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program Experience2-3 years of experience as a NP/PA practicing with cardiothoracic surgical patients.
Will consider applicants who have 2-3 years general surgical experience.
Licensure/CertificationsPhysician Assistant (PA-C) certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or Nurse Practitioner licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) along with a DEA certificate.
Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.
Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
