Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Region Manager, the Region DEI Coordinator will support the tactical efforts including initiatives and programs that move Boise Cascade's DEI strategy forward and operationalize our efforts to welcome diversity and build community.
Essential FunctionsoLead the development and implementation of initiatives to progress in creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment.
oLead and coordinate the operational planning for group/team workshops and/or specific initiatives.
oEstablish objective, job-related employment criteria regardless of protected characteristics like age, gender, and raceoPartner with site Leadership to include Region/location HR to ensure recruiting processes provides equitable and inclusive practices while minimizing administrative tasks yet maintaining the hiring and retention of high-viability candidates.
oDevelop relationships with outside employment agencies, placement companies, colleges, industry associations and employment advertising medium to maintain networks and recruiting resources.
oSource, network with and proactively reach out to people of color, female candidates, people with disabilities or other under-represented groups.
oPartner with Corporate DEI team and Region leadership to include Region HR to develop recruiting strategies to attract and retain qualified, diverse candidates for Division managerial positions.
oWork with all levels of management to develop a full understanding of specific diverse recruiting needs by building relationships and gaining knowledge of location specifics, environments and communities and functional staff needs across the entire Region.
oCommunicate our culture, products, and structure to identify appropriate skills sets for employment needs.
oAssist with building hiring plans that provide equal opportunities to all candidates, internal and external.
oFollow our procedures around compensation, relocation, and hiring practices.
oPromote our success story and employee value proposition.
oFacilitate DEI training for teams and leadership and maintain strong relationships with training and consulting organizations.
oCollaborate with key partners to determine DEI change needs and appropriate change methodology and best practices.
oActs as company/region liaison with government agencies concerning affirmative action and equal employment opportunities.
oLead the development and monitoring of metrics focused on measuring the effectives of initiatives.
oPartner with business and human resources leadership to ensure diversity goals are met with context toward most qualified, most technical, proficient/capable, most compatible with overall workforce.
oCollaborate with leaders to integrate diverse, equitable and inclusive practices into business process/workplaces.
oMaintain a strong awareness of related issues and trends; educate and coach others across the organization.
Work with leaders to develop learning interventions that effectively address both organizational and specific skill gaps.
oChampion an inclusive work environment by personally demonstrating appropriate behaviors through actions and communications.
oDevelop and maintain strong community partnerships that support diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies.
oDemonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
oPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (preferred) in cultural studies, ethnic studies, social services, sociology, psychology, organizational development, behavioral sciences, business, human resources, related field or equivalent work experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
