8 12 hours ago Full Job Description The General Equipment is responsible for covering equipment operator needs.
Common tasks include chemical application , operating and orchard mower, operating a blue line bine mover( tractor) , operating Hyster ( forklift) occasional horticultural task and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
Previous experience as a Skilled Orchard worker preferred.
Must have good reading skills.
Must be able to work flexible hours to meet weather, treatment restrictions and application deadlines, including weekends.
First Aid Certified within first year of employment.
Oregon Driver's License required.
Oregon Private Pesticide Applicator License desirable.
Calculate volumes and weight measurements related to pesticide application work orders.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, up to 50 pounds.
Physical requirements include close distance, depth perception, color, and peripheral vision.
Must possess the ability to sit on a tractor for a majority of the workday, work in variable weather conditions, work around loud motorized equipment in Orchards with proper hearing protection, and handle pesticide and/or nutrient chemicals using proper personal protective equipment.
This safety sensitive position requires pre-employment drug test and safety training.
