Job Description: Perform a variety of customer service activities for new and existing customers as a paying and receiving teller. Contribute to the efficient and effective operations of the Branch, providing the ?best? in customer service and upholding Bank customer service values. Provide high quality customer service, refer appropriate product and service opportunities and contribute to Branch and BOTC goals and objectives. Model BOTC Sales-Service-Soundness values in support of retaining and attracting profitable customer relationships.
Essential Functions &
Responsibilities:
? Identify opportunities to offer products and services to customers that will benefit the customer and support our goal to expand and retain customer relationships.
? Refer customers to Trusted Advisors and other departments as appropriate for additional Bank products and services
? Process a variety of basic customer account transactions and provide prompt, courteous and friendly service.
? Sell personal money orders, and cashier?s checks.
? Provide credit card cash advance services.
? Provide wire transfer and telephone transfer services.
? Process mail transactions and night deposit bags and envelopes, and ATM deposits.
? Meet established Company ?Customer Service Teller Balancing Guidelines.?
? Complete required training series.
? May fulfill vault teller duties on an exception basis, including paying large checks, completing change orders, ordering and shipping currency and coin, distributing cash to tellers, determing branch cash needs and assisting other tellers in balancing or verifying cash.
? Provide Branch communication support, including responding to incoming telephone calls, email, and voice mail; greeting and directing customers to appropriate team members.
? Provide support and assistance, complete other related duties as assigned, in support of the daily functions and special projects of the branch.
Experience and Skill Requirements:
? One year banking or cash handling experience required.
? Ability to promote and sell Bank products and services and develop customer relationships with excellent customer service skills.
? Basic mathematical aptitude and understanding of common bookkeeping concepts.
? Must be competent in the use of personal computer systems, internet applications and electronic mail, and various windows based software applications to include, but not limited to, banking application, word processing and spread sheet software.
? Honor Bank of the Cascades expectations including core values, customer service and dress code.
? Must demonstrate acceptable personal financial responsibility to be bondable.
? Maintain regular, consistent attendance and timeliness
Education / Certification Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
? Requires hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity and the ability to distinguish letters or symbols.
? Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job as listed.
? Able to regularly stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
? Able to verbally communicate effectively with others.
? May be required to push, pull, lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
? Extensive use of the telephone and internet communications.
Location: Medford, OregonEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
