Job Status : 40 hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Oversee the effective and efficient operation of 15 branches
Oversee the effective and efficient operation of 15 branches
Direct, motivate, supervise 15 branch managers, and select additional staff
Recruit, hire, and train staff
Oversee the scheduling of staff in 15 branches
Oversee the training and professional development of branch staff
Create and sustain excellent internal and external relationships with Friends groups, community groups, and other organizations partnering with the library
Ensure quality of services in the library branches
Other duties as assigned
Accredited MLS
Minimum 3 years supervisory/management experience; successful experience managing 5
personnel
Experience in working as part of a team
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Technical Services a plus
Ability to work a flexible schedule which will involve substantial local travel and include some weekend and evening work
Valid driver's license and insurance
Familiarity with ILS systems and other common office software packages
Familiarity with current developments in the field of library science.
